Another winter season has come to its end, and finished it up/celebrated with a month in the Arctic. Last year we had our friends visiting from Finland, but this year we spent a full month in the Arctic and welcomed 4 different groups of clients. We had a blast, and it seems like our guests did too! This year we had children joining us at camp, and it was one of the highlights of the whole month to see the kids driving their own sled with a one-dog “team”. Both dogs and kids did amazing (see photos above)! We also had a group of students visiting from Valdres Folkehøgskole in Norway, which we always enjoy! The students were amazing with our dogs and gave them an incredible amount of care and love, which warmed our hearts!

We enjoyed beautiful weather, happy dogs, lots of smiles (and miles) and just generally super good times! The food fueling us and our guests was made by Sue Ellis from Team Tsuga Siberians and her husband Mike Ellis joined us at camp the whole month of April. We were also lucky to have help from our good friend Thom from Friendly Arctic Adventures, Mark (dad) Sass, Nita from Sirius Sled Dogs and Flo from murkl.com. We also had great help from Horst Expediting and Brent had great, durable and comfortable gear from Wintergreen Northern Wear.

As we are settling back in at the Homestead we can’t help but looking forward to next year’s Expedition, and the best part?! YOU can join us next year! Check the trip out here, and feel free to send us an email if you have any questions or if you want to book your adventure with us!
