Morello

Morello is part of the “Orange is the New Black” litter whose parents are Basin and Celia. Basin was the 2015 Yukon Quest Golden Harness Winner and Celia was been a solid race dog in my team for years (not to mention, she is a Silver and Madonna puppy)! Morello has a strong personality and has become one of the main leaders of the Wild and Free Team (which makes total sense with super talented leaders as parents). In 2016, Morello ran and finished the Copper Basin 300. In 2019 Morello joined the team for Copper Basin 300 and Yukon Quest and she shined. In 2020 she was back on the main race team, and she finished all races of the season (Copper Basin 300, Yukon Quest 1000mi and Iditarod) plus ran huge parts of all races in lead. In 2021 she was a part of the 3rd place Iditarod finish! In 2022 she was a part of the team for the CB300 win, YQ350 win and the Iditarod Championship! She was in lead most of these races and ROCKED it! Morello is a force to be reckoned with, and one we look forward to having with us in future races!
