Herbert

Herbert – son of Josephine and Jackson. Herbert boats the longest legs and tail. He uses his lankiness to his advantage to run in fresh snowbanks beside the trail. A natural leader, his brothers and sisters follow him wherever he goes, even if its down the wrong trail! One of his favorite past times is sprinting up and down the hill in the puppy yard to rile up his siblings. Herbert and his litter mates trained in the 2020/2021 winter with our puppy training friends, The Bouldings, and came back as very well-trained sled dogs. Summer of 2021 I enjoyed spending free hiking and bonding with Herbert and his siblings, in the early winter they went back to The Bouldings to start their first year of race training. Herbert ran the Willow 100 and Junior Iditarod and stood out as a great leader!  This was a huge accomplishment for both Tori and the dogs, and no doubt has set them up to be successful race dogs in the future. In 2022/2023 season Herbert ran in the Alpine Creek, Knik 200 and the Yukon Quest 550! We couldn’t be more excited to have have in the running for races this season!
