Meghan was introduced to running dogs in northern Minnesota. She has spent several seasons guiding tours on glaciers outside of Juneau and Skagway, and enjoyed three winters handling and racing with SP Kennel in Two Rivers. After completing a geography degree at UC Berkeley, Meghan surrendered to her “itchy feet” and dwelled in several states before landing in Alaska. She worked all manner of jobs during that time, from ridge-running GIS projects and dog treat baking, to brown bear guiding and a graduate research assistantship in ocean mapping. Meghan is thrilled to join the Wild and Free team this winter. She enjoys change, challenge, reading and a good cup of coffee (with butter, of course).
