This wonderful lady is daughter of the OGs, King and Queen of Wild and Free Mushing – Silver and Madonna. Celia has been a main team dog at Wild and Free for years, finishing lots of races with Brent and continuously being an excellent leader.Celia has retired from racing now, but she still plays a big role in training of puppies and yearlings and is a great role model for aspiring younger leaders. This season Celia has found her best buddy in Jade – they absolutely adore each other and loves to play (see photo of the two of them waiting to get inside our cabin).. Being retired, Celia loves getting to spend time with us in the cabin. We often find her laying really close to the wood stove, thoroughly enjoying the heat. Celia has a very special place in our hearts, and we’re so happy to see some of Madonna’s heritage carry on through Celia and the litters she’s given birth to. She had a litter with Trunk in 2017, and the puppies are showing tons of potential and it seems like they’ll follow in their parents footsteps being amazing sled dogs and part of the future here at Wild and Free.
