Bato is one of the biggest stars in the Kennel. A grandkid of Silver, he brings more enthusiasm to the team than possibly any other dog in the Kennel. He ran on a puppy team with my handler as a yearling and showed he had what it takes to go 1,000 miles, and in 2015 as a two-year-old, he shined on my winning Yukon Quest team. Always ready to go, Bato is the biggest cheerleader on the team. Barking and banging the harness is what he loves to do and his energy is contagious in the team. Even though he is one of the smaller males of the kennel, he is one of the most confident and will not be pushed around by anybody. He and his sibling Chica are part of a Mexican themed litter, which is fitting because he often reminds us of a Mexican gangster because of his huge personality. Bato will be helping train our younger dogs this coming season! We are lucky to have such an amazing dog in Bato!
