Slater

Named after characters in the movie Dazed and Confused, Slater and his brothers and sisters are proving to have just as much personality as their namesake. Born in the arctic, they spent the first couple weeks of their life living in a tent, which set them up for success. Slater is one of the most loving and happy dogs in the kennel.  He listens very well and is eager to please. Slater and his siblings were more than ready to hit the race trail in 2019, and they all shined in our races and finished the Quest as Champion dogs. Slater was a part of the 2021 team that finished 3rd place in the Iditarod! He was instrumental in our Iditarod 2022 Championship and in 2023 he was a part of  every race we competed in and lead almost the whole time! Slater spent last winter in Norway with Brent and had an excellent training season. He was a great mentor for all the dogs at Holmen Husky.
