And they’re off! On Sunday March 8th, at 3:24pm our team left the restart in Willow and they’re heading towards Nome! The final 14 dogs who made the team are as follows, with Sluice and Josephine being our Iditarod veterans (they ran/finished Iditarod with Mats Pettersson 2017).

This year we also have 5 dogs joining Tom Frode Johansen who came all the way from Norway to run this race for the first time. You may recognize his name, as we’ve mentioned before that our friend Nora Själin ran his dogs (and ours) in the Yukon Quest this season. Tim Frode also ran Yukon Quest in 2016 and finished in 7th place as Rookie of the Year (Nora did the same in 2020). We’re really excited to have these dogs join Tom Frode out on the Iditarod trail, and we’ll be cheering the team on throughout the race
