Wearing bib #1, Tim Muto and the Yearling Race Team successfully finished the 2016 Two Rivers 200 in 20th place.  The team continues to gain more and more experience at every checkpoint and from being around other dog teams, as Tim says “for being such a young dog team, we are VERY dialed in on the whole camping procedure.”  From fresh snow to hard flat trails and even steep climbs, nothing was going to hold this team back.  “The dog teams energy energy flowed directly through the gang line, back to my sled, my drag mat and up my legs,” said Tim.  After 37 hours and 44 minutes, Tim and all 12 dogs crossed the finish line in Two Rivers, AK at 1:44 AM Monday January 25th.

Even though this was a training run, the fans could not have been more supportive, both on the trail and through social media!  Tim also had great support along the way from handler Kenny Malawi Eualani, from Fairbanks.  It has been a great race season so far for Wild and Free Mushing and we are looking forward to continuing the momentum in the races to come.
